Annual Have a Heart Musical Theatre coming up in Mid-February- "Stop the World and Start the Music".
Filled with fun and laugher, great harmonies, and presenting music from 7 decades, the Beach Street Players directed by Gloria Herauf, will once again entertain our audiences with the 2024 production, ‘Stop The World And Start The Music!!’.
Performances of The Beach Street Show will be held on: Friday, February 9, 7 PM; Saturday, February 10, 2 PM; Sunday, February 11, 2 PM and Friday, February 16, 7 PM and Saturday, February 17, 2 PM.
All performances will be held at Comox United Church. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Benjamin Moore in Courtenay, and Blue Heron Books in Comox. Beach Street Players are sponsored by Strathcona Sunrise Rotary Club and as always, give profits back to the community.
This will be the 13th production of the Beach Street Players.
‘Stop The World And Start The Music’ sweeps us away from this troubled world to one of joyful music from jazz to rock, pop to classics, broadway to country and even opera … all with a fun twist and lots of laughter!
As Charlie recalls past precious memories while playing his old vinyl records, the stage comes to life with those nostalgic songs and scenes – from the Roaring 20’s to modern online dating, from the advent of rock and roll to Elton John, Belafonte, Lightfoot, Tony Bennett and Julie Andrews, from the Mamas and Papas and Beach Boys, to Carol Burnett’s 90th birthday… and so much more.
